The Forestry Committee is a group of local citizens working with local citizens to inform, educate, and promote good stewardship of the natural and cultural resources within Jackson, Lawrence, Orange, and Washington Counties.
White River RC&D operates on the premise that no one knows the needs of a community better than the citizens of that community. Therefore, the Forestry Committee, like the RC&D itself, is managed by local volunteers. The only qualifications for membership are an interest in the proper care and conservation of our forestry resources, and a willingness to actively assist in educating the public on the importance of their surroundings.
This committee welcomes suggestions for future programs. We are dedicated to meeting the forestry education needs of the communities within the White River RC&D area. Let us know how we can serve you and your neighbors.
